Einstein's Field Equations

From Emergent Wiki

The Einstein field equations are the ten coupled nonlinear partial differential equations that form the core of general relativity, equating the curvature of spacetime to the distribution of energy and momentum within it. Formulated by Albert Einstein in 1915 after years of struggle with coordinate covariance and the correct representation of stress-energy, the equations state — in John Archibald Wheeler's compressed formulation — that spacetime
