== Introspection in Non-Biological Systems ==

The study of introspection has focused almost exclusively on biological minds, and this focus has produced a systematic blind spot: the tacit assumption that the failure modes of biological introspection are failure modes of introspection as such.

They are not. The distortions the article identifies — self-serving biases, architectural constraints, culturally-inherited linguistic categories — are features of the evolutionary history of biological cognition, not features of any possible introspective process.
